About The Position

As a Security Operations Manager in Austin, you’ll lead a team that helps keep people, property, and operations safe every day. You’ll manage security operations across multiple sites, coach and develop your team, and work directly with our client to deliver a high-quality, tech-enabled security program. If you enjoy leading people, solving problems on the fly, and building strong relationships, this role gives you the autonomy and support to do exactly that.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and 2+ years of progressive supervisory/management experience (Equivalent experience can be substituted for education: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education)
  • Strong understanding of security operations
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication
  • Strong customer service mindset and service delivery focus
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Initiative and drive to achieve results with minimal supervision
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Standard computer and technology skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional communication and demeanor
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills (or willingness to learn)
  • Reliable means of communication and transportation
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

  • Manage a shift and/or segment of guarding operations across multiple sites
  • Supervise Field Supervisors and security officers
  • Ensure post orders are followed and service is delivered at a high standard
  • Maintain regular contact with client representatives
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks
  • Identify issues early and drive timely corrective actions
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of security staff
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members in their development
  • Address performance issues and apply fair, consistent discipline when needed
  • Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and inclusion
  • Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and equipment needs
  • Make real-time staffing and scheduling adjustments to meet client needs while managing labor costs
  • Review reports and documentation for accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and submit payroll and other administrative records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Promote safe work practices and report any safety concerns
  • Respond on an on-call basis to emergencies and incidents as needed
