About The Position

The Security Operations Lead and Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) supports Rockwell Automation's physical security operations, executive protection program, and industrial security compliance. This role partners with the Director, Industrial Security & Global Security Operations to safeguard personnel, facilities, assets, and sensitive programs through security governance, operational execution, and continuous improvement. The role is based at the Milwaukee, WI Global HQ with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • A valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of relevant government experience or 5+ years of security industry experience
  • Active Top-Secret eligibility or the ability to obtain post-employment
  • Experience managing sensitive documentation and working within compliance-driven deadlines
  • Experience in government with a solid network of contacts
  • Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and DCSA assessments
  • Experience managing physical security systems (e.g., access control, video management) at a multi-site organization
  • Executive Protection experience or training

Responsibilities

  • Administer the Industrial Security Program following NISPOM requirements as an Assistant FSO for a non-possessing facility.
  • Process and manage personnel security clearance activities, including submissions, onboarding, and debriefings.
  • Support classified contract execution by ensuring applicable security requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Maintain required industrial security documentation, including training records, DD254s, and materials for DCSA reviews, self-inspections, and internal audits.
  • Monitor evolving government security requirements and benchmark with the industrial security community to recommend process improvements.
  • Support Global Security Program administration, including documentation, KPI tracking, provider coordination, benchmarking, and program improvement efforts relating to executive protection, crisis management, and threat assessment.
  • Participate in meetings with teams, partners, and vendors to manage projects, identify program enhancements, and support modernization or automation opportunities.
  • Lead security projects, crisis management initiatives, and other Global Security program responsibilities.
  • Support enterprise physical security systems strategy, including access control, video management, benchmarking, administration, modernization, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with the Global Security Systems Lead and security systems personnel to identify and mitigate issues, track system health, maintain accurate inventory, and report operational metrics.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and project management of physical security systems across company locations.
