As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Steward in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for individuals, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and program participants while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points, greet and direct visitors, and verify authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports.
