About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as a driving Access Control Officer. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support security-related activities that help to deter incidents. You may also perform routine patrols, stay visible, and deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, badge and credential verification steps, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization for people and vehicles, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas at the location.
  • Document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity, maintain accurate access records, and communicate security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, applying posted procedures and escalating security-related matters when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter suspicious activity and report hazards, equipment issues, and/or other site concerns.
