As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Veteran in El Monte, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrance areas, lobby spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required by location procedures, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and following post orders related to after-hours checks, opening and closing activities, and/or incident reporting.
