As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Engagement in Pennsauken, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity to help support authorized entry, observe unusual behavior, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or leadership.
  • Support closing and opening procedures, assist with responding to customer disturbances or suspicious activity, and help to deter unauthorized access or policy violations through visible presence and routine patrol activity.
