About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Screening in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will support a welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors, and communicating professionally with patients, staff, and guests. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, assist with badge access, and help identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with established procedures, using approved screening equipment and documenting prohibited items or irregularities as required.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and communicating entry requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the surrounding perimeter, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns.
