About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property at the assigned premises. The role includes monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, responding to security incidents and emergencies, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies. The officer uses technology and physical vigilance to help prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats, while communicating with team members and external agencies as needed.

The position is part-time and works a swing shift on Fridays and Saturdays from 1600 to 0000 at Burlingame, California. The listed pay is $24.90.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in a related security role.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and wireless communication technology.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and repetitive motions required for patrol duties.
• Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with team members, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control facility access using access control systems, and verify the identification of people entering the premises.
• Conduct routine property patrols, including climbing stairs and inspecting areas for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Use wireless communication devices and radios to maintain contact with security team members and report incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, assist as needed, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
