About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Screening in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support access screening, monitor activity, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access screening protocols.
  • Screen individuals, visitors, packages, and belongings in accordance with client policies, using prescribed equipment and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Verify identification, credentials, appointments, and authorization prior to allowing access to restricted areas, and document visitor activity as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, prohibited-item concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, business spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
