As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while responding to security-related needs throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, building perimeters, and adjacent grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
