As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related incidents, assist with access control, support specialized areas such as the morgue, and help restrain individuals when needed. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance involving patients, visitors, staff, and hospital operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and directions to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
