Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct visitors in accordance with site procedures, maintaining professional and courteous interactions in a high-volume public-facing environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and visitor-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.
