About The Position

Marksman Security is hiring part-time Security Officers to deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce property rules. Depending on the assignment, officers may monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position or patrol areas and conduct security checks. Officers may also protect equipment and workers and check the credentials of vehicles and individuals entering or leaving a property.

Available assignments include Rover, Gatehouse, and Front Desk positions. Rover officers conduct foot or vehicle patrols and look for suspicious behavior, vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity. Gatehouse officers greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control access. Front Desk officers greet guests, provide customer service, control access, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages.

The position includes Saturday and Sunday shifts, with first-, second-, and third-shift schedules available. Applicants are subject to background and fingerprint investigations and, where permitted by law, drug screening.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Experience with report writing and documentation.
• Experience monitoring and surveillance.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to background and fingerprint investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills.
• At least two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Valid 24-hour Guard Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to people encountered while on duty, including offering directions and general business information.
• Control access for clients, visitors, or vendors as required.
• Monitor security cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to property incidents, including emergencies, and record incident information for building and management.
• For Rover assignments, conduct foot or vehicle patrols and detect suspicious behavior, vandalism, theft, or other criminal activity.
• For Gatehouse assignments, greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control property access.
• For Front Desk assignments, greet guests, provide customer service, control access, monitor CCTV systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
