As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Response in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and screening processes, and help to support an orderly environment for patients, staff, and guests.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, policy concerns, and/or medical location-specific issues that may impact daily operations.
