About The Position

As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, responding to security-related concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with residents and visitors, and support a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, issue visitor credentials as required, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming and orderly residential environment.
