About The Position

This is a floater position responsible for the physical security of the facility. The role involves assignments to walking or stationary posts, inspecting and controlling persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility, logging truck traffic, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations, and operating switchboard, two-way radio, and intercom equipment. The position requires a valid driver's license and being at least eighteen years of age. The primary weekday hours are 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, with some weekend work from 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM. The schedule will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

Requires a valid driver's license.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Basic computer skills.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations.
Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures.
Able to work both independently and under supervision.
Must have a positive work ethic and attitude.
Must pass a REQUIRED background check.

INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS: Cannot have 6 attendance points or more.
INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS: Cannot have suspension in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members.
Allowing only authorized personnel into the facility.
Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
Writing investigative reports and preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed.
Walking through the plant to check physical facility security.
Inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
Logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress.
Performing preliminary investigations.
Switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment operation.
