As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry points, monitor activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. This role offers the opportunity to stay visible, complete routine patrols, and respond to site needs with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity as part of the Allied Universal team.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points by checking credentials, reviewing visitor and/or delivery authorizations, maintaining entry and exit records, and helping to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, and parking areas, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
