About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on experience at varied sites and may support career advancement within Allied Universal. Officers work 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and include manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. The position is based across assigned locations in El Paso, Texas, and pays $15.58 per hour.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be willing to travel to assigned work locations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local security licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
• Ability to speak, read, and write multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
