About The Position

We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort and Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and hoteliers and to minimize opportunities for loss or damage. This role will act to deter any agent or element from jeopardizing persons or property in or about the hotel's facilities. Additional responsibilities include responding, documenting, investigating, reporting and following up with all incidents of actual or potential loss to people or property. All candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights (flexibility is required). We have a full-time position available. Work Schedule Needed: Evening Shift - 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, visitors and hotel staff to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Criminal-free record.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • 2 years of experience in similar position of dealing with general public.
  • Ability to use a telephone and radio.
  • Ability to promote a safe and secure environment for all employees, guests, and property.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and diplomacy while performing job functions.
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all persons.
  • Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide responses.
  • Ability to focus on guest needs.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and make sound judgments in threatening situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate via email and job specific databases.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, effectively communicating and collaborating with others.
