About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech-focused location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support daily operations with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and/or the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor management processes in alignment with site policies.
  • Assist with routine inspections of the location and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
