As a Security Officer Full Time - Highway 90 in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, where you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, help to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gates, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, document incidents and observations, and support compliance with facility access requirements.
