As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, following post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities at the location.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or other items entering or leaving the facility in accordance with site policies and documented screening protocols.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and/or report unusual activity, policy violations, or other security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and complete required logs and incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter, with duties and working conditions that may vary by location.
