As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response in Murrells Inlet, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license preferred.
  • Possess customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and applicable armed post requirements.
