About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a Hospital in Boston MA. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, patient transport coordination, and traffic flow as assigned, maintaining a professional and compassionate presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
