Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare-related pharmaceutical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including access points and perimeter areas, to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence, following established procedures for restricted areas, and communicating observed concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
