As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare setting, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will remain visible, respond to access-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare-related pharmaceutical location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
  • Respond to access control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities, assist with controlled access during evacuations or other incidents, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
