About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, South Carolina, you will safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role requires professional customer service, clear communication with team members and visitors, and use of technology to document observations. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM and Friday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.10 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter; document observations and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site requirements.
