As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol License Compliance in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely response to security-related concerns. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access to the shelter location, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious, prohibited, or unauthorized activity to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining respectful interactions with diverse populations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, entry points, common spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and communications in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
