About The Position

As a Security Officer in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help identify unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs and complete clear, timely reports related to visitor activity, access control events, incidents, and shift observations.
