As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Services in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist with badge-related issues. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, office areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, communicate professionally with site contacts and/or public service personnel, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors.
