As a Security Officer Access Verification in Cypress, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support security-related procedures for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading and unloading areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter locations as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, property concerns, and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and following established post orders.
