As a Security Officer Full Time Pharmaceutical Company in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, works collaboratively, and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and tenants at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established escalation procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
