As a Security Officer Full Time - 2nd Shift in Grayslake, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, maintain clear communication, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with established screening protocols; verify authorized access and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit points, shipping and receiving areas, and package-handling operations to help deter unauthorized access and prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and follow site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
