As a Security Officer, you will provide mobile, unarmed patrol coverage throughout a retail and neighborhood setting, helping to maintain a welcoming environment for visitors, residents, and tenants. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, residents, tenants, and retail guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, sidewalks, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns such as suspicious activity, access issues, property damage, or hazards, and report findings to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general information while maintaining a professional presence in a neighborhood retail environment.
