About The Position

Campus Security Officers are responsible for observing and reporting activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. This role involves frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods, potentially including climbing stairs and navigating uneven terrain. The position also requires occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Securitas is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and provides training for those new to the security industry. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, patrolling locations, preserving order, enforcing regulations, and providing customer service.

Requirements

Driver certification required.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Ability to complete patrols.
Strong technology skills (cell phone/computer).
Must pass our drug screen and background check.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.

Nice To Haves

Prior security/customer service experience is a plus.
If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities

Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site.
Provide for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods.
Climb stairs and walk on inclines and uneven terrain.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring the premises.
Patrol a variety of locations.
Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
