About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol with Diploma Proof in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location supporting community services. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will be part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and reporting access concerns in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by giving directions, addressing routine questions, and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
