Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care for people, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, exits, common spaces, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify identification, visitor entry, deliveries, and/or movement of personnel in line with government location requirements and post orders.
  • Support a professional presence at the location by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or resident or visitor issues to the appropriate staff or emergency services when needed.
