About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver in Polkton, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients in a government corrections environment. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other stakeholders by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify authorized access, inspect credentials and/or vehicles as directed, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and operate assigned communications equipment in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
