As a Security Officer Full Time Office Building in Pikesville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Officer at a residential community, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests. You will communicate professionally, support security-related activities, and use technology to document observations. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the residential community, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
