About The Position

Securitas is hiring customer-service-driven Security Officers to serve the community and help protect client sites. Employees receive safety and security training, with support from regional and area management to encourage growth and advancement. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across multiple shifts and locations. Open interviews are held Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5470 Kietzke Lane, Suite 140, Reno, NV 89511. Candidates should bring two forms of identification and a current resume. The listed wage range is $16.00–$20.00 per hour. Officers interact frequently with client employees and guests, provide information and customer service, monitor for hazards or suspicious activity, follow post orders, complete assigned rounds, patrol premises, and write reports. The role involves using technology devices during shifts and may require patrols outdoors in varying weather and terrain. Officers work with a team toward site and organizational goals and may perform similar duties as required by the assigned site.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have above-average computer and technology skills.
Have excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Be able to work independently.
Remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Have strong attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Maintain a professional demeanor.
Be willing to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
Follow all post orders and complete assigned rounds.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
Use technology devices throughout the shift.
Conduct patrols inside and outside client premises, potentially in varying weather conditions and terrain.
Write reports.
Work as part of a team to achieve site and organizational goals.
Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required at the assigned site.
Respond to emergencies using rapid and effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
