Security Officer - Open Interview Thursdays 10AM - 3PM
About The Position
Securitas USA is seeking customer-service-driven Security Officers to serve the community and help safeguard clients’ people and assets. Officers receive safety and security training and support from regional and area management, with opportunities for growth and advancement. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across multiple shifts and locations. The role involves interacting frequently with client employees and guests, providing customer service, monitoring and reporting safety or security concerns, following post orders, completing assigned rounds, conducting patrols, and writing reports. Officers use technology devices during their shifts and work with a team to achieve site goals. Patrols may take place indoors or outdoors, in varying weather conditions and on different terrain. Officers may also perform other similar duties as required at their assigned site.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Above-average computer and technology skills.
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
- Professional demeanor.
- Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
Nice To Haves
- Security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Responsibilities
- Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
- Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
- Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
- Follow all post orders and complete assigned rounds.
- Provide information and customer service to client employees and guests.
- Use technology devices throughout the shift.
- Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols, potentially in various weather conditions and on different terrain.
- Write reports.
- Work in a team environment to help achieve daily site and organizational goals.
- Carry out other similar tasks and duties as required for the assigned site.
- Respond to emergencies using rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
