About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer at an industrial location in Sparrows Point, Maryland, you will help manage facility entry and exit activity, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role serves and safeguards clients in industries including manufacturing and industrial operations.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and directing individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate promptly with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access control concerns according to company and site-specific reporting procedures.
