As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Tempo in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Possess CPR certification, preferred.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and/or emergency response actions when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor, delivery, and resident-related interactions in a professional manner.
  • Communicate with property management, residents, and/or local responders as needed regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters observed during patrols.
