As a Security Officer New York License Patrol Duty in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a community-focused care location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to verify authorized entry, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
