About The Position

The Security Officer works an inside post on a part-time, 12-hour Saturday assignment from 0900 to 1900. The officer controls access to the property and building, conducts foot patrols every two hours using the Vision System, and may interact with drivers and employees as needed. Each foot patrol takes approximately 30 minutes. This is a cold-start assignment, so reliability is essential. Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, patrolling locations, preserving order, and enforcing site regulations and directives. They observe and report activities and incidents to help protect client property and personnel, and frequently provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
Reliability is essential for this cold-start assignment.
Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods, and to climb stairs and walk on inclines and uneven terrain.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Retail, food service, or hospitality industry experience is considered a good fit, though no prior experience is necessary.
