As a Security Officer Full Time Overnight Campus in Upper Marlboro, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment. Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal supervision and designated campus representatives.
