As a Security Officer Full Time Screener in Miamisburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure, efficient operation by screening people, packages, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, report security-related concerns, and help promote a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and document access activity as required.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and other assigned locations for unusual activity, prohibited items, and policy violations; report observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter and distribution operations areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and support site procedures.
