As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to residents, visitors, and team members while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to residential incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
