As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecommunications and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, technical areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors according to site procedures, and reporting access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence at the client location.
