About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned wealth management firm site. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Extra shifts may allow employees to increase their hours up to 40 per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The position pays $23.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of access points, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
